As the headlining fighter of Team USA, Jeff "The Snowman" Monson is one of the most renowned fighters in MMA today. From July 2003 to July 2006, he had

a 16 fight winning streak, punctuated by a decision loss to Tim Sylvia for the UFC heavyweight crown.

Training out of the famed American Top Team in Florida, Monson returned to his winning ways by besting Kazuyuki Fujita via rear naked choke in the main

event of Pride's final show. In fact, he has won 14 of his 23 victories by submission and has never been knocked out.

Monson is known almost as well for his extreme left wing political views as an anarchist. "I am an anarchist, someone who would like to do away with all

class hierarchy in society and the institutions that promote this inequality," he said.

Monson will look to close the distance, get the takedown and work for a submission to avoid the powerful kicks and punches that have put so many of Pedro Rizzo's opponents away.
