Jason “Tex” Maxwell is set to make his second appearance with the IFA and Art of War at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Unfortunately, Jason fell short in his first appearance with Art of War losing to Yuki Inoue by a unanimous decision. Hailing out of Wichita Falls, Texas, he is focused on redemption as he faces Thomas Schulte in the first bout of this high powered event.

Maxwell currently stands 5’7”, weighing 155 lbs and holds a professional Mixed Martial Arts record of 12 wins, 6 losses and one draw. This record includes a knockout win over Jens Pulver, former UFC Champion. Maxwell is a straight-forward ground and pound specialist winning 5 fights by TKO and 6 by various choke holds.

Maxwell was born April 19, 1980, and trains with Mad Squabbles and UFC Fighter Matt Grice. Outside of the ring Maxwell enjoys raising his kids, training, working for TDCJ State Prison, learning guitar, and singing in his spare time.
